Source data
The source of the data is referred to as source data. The most refined data may serve as a source for another process to access and utilize. A data source may be a database, a flat file, or any of the data services. The source data may also depend on the location of the data. The data location may be on the same computer as the program or another computer somewhere on a network.
The application provides a feature to import the brand's source data into it. It provides an overview of the source data import process with an option to correct the import errors in the data in the Audience module of the application.

Source data typesThe Audience module supports five different types of source data, and they are listed below:
- Comma-separated values (CSV)
- Extensible markup language (XML)
- File transfer protocol (FTP)
- Remote data source (RDS)
- Manual data source

File types - CSVIn the Audience module, the file type 'CSV' has a 'List type' as the drop-down with five options, and they are:
- Target list
- Ad-hoc list
- Seed list
- Match list
- Suppression list
