What is it?#

As one of the major communication channels, paid media is an integral component of most organizations marketing strategies. A paid media communication using LinkedIn ads allows you to reach a broad audience base. A LinkedIn ad on Resul can help track user actions and responses during and post the communications through the Resul Smart Link embedded into the paid ad.

Authorization and making changes#

Any user who has the communication creation access can create a paid ad communication.

Three-step process#

Managing LinkedIn ad communications follow a three-step process in Resul.

In this module we only address Step 2 โ€“ Create. For step 1, access detailed guidance at Plan a single dimension communication. For step 3, access detailed guidance at Execute a single dimension communication.

Accessing linkedIn ad communication creation#

  1. Select the communication module and click on the "+" icon to add a communication.
  2. Then select Single dimension delivery method.
  3. Select Ads in the communication plan screen.
  4. Select LinkedIn within the communication creation section after selecting Paid ads.

Creating the Ad link#

To create a LinkedIn Ad SmartLink, follow these steps:

  1. Select an ad objective.
  2. Enter an ad name. It can be a combination of alphanumeric, text, and special characters. There is a no character limit.
    Create another ad using the smart link with by clicking the plus button and entering the ad name(Maximum of 3 ads can be created as part of single communication). To delete it, click the red delete button.
  3. Copy the linkedIn ad smart Link(s) displayed below to the clipboard, which is derived from the communication Smart Link generated after the communication planning completion.
    The Smart link is created by clicking on the Smart link icon on the upper right of the screen. For detailed instructions, see Creating Smart links.
  4. Proceed to the next step in the communication creation process.
    • Click "Save" to save the communication creation progress so far. The user will be returned to the communication listing page and the communication will be saved as "Draft".
      To return to communication creation, access the communication through the communication List, click "Next" in the planning step, and then access the relevant channel through the tabs on the communication creation screen.
    • Click "Next" to proceed to the next step which is sequenced as follows:
    • The next channel within the channel type. For example, if the user is working on a channel within the paid ads channel type, they will be taken to the next channel until the last channel is reached.
    • The next channel type selected during the planning step.
    • The communication list, if all channel communications have been created and all analytics set up has been completed.
      Note that the user will only be taken to the next step once all mandatory input has been completed. The platform will highlight the missing information.
