LinkedIn

What is it?#

As one of the major social media platforms, LinkedIn boasts a substantial user base and is an integral component of most companies’ marketing strategy. It can be a source of valuable customer information such as:

  • Permissioned personal information
  • Preferences and trends
  • Demographic profile
  • Social network details
Integration with LinkedIn enables Resulticks to provide a broad range of analytics such as user journey reporting, augment customer data and create or trigger campaigns.

Making changes#

Setting up a data exchange can be done by an Administrator or the Key Contact for the account. An unlimited number of new company LinkedIn accounts can be added at any time. However, integrated LinkedIn accounts cannot be deleted.

Changing specifications here can have a follow-on impact within the Audience, Campaign, and Analytics modules of the Resulticks platform. Please discuss implications with the Resulticks Account Manager before making any changes.

Accessing this section#

  1. Select the preferences module,
  2. Select data exchange within the Setup section.

Configuring a connection#

  1. Click on the social media menu from the left panel inside the Data Exchange module.
  2. Select LinkedIn by clicking on the “+” icon.
  3. Enter the requested account details on the LinkedIn popup screen for the page to be integrated, then click “Sign In”.
  4. Grant resulticks access to establish the connection by clicking “Allow” in the second popup window. The privileges requested by Resulticks are listed and must be accepted as they are, without edits.
  5. Confirm the connection is successful by validating that LinkedIn is shown in the Integrated systems section at the top of the Data Exchange page.
If there are any response messages or error icons, please follow the pop-up instructions to complete the configuration.
