Master data overview

What is it?#

The Master data tab in the Audience module performs three functions:

  • Provides an audience overview that includes key statistics and a sample view of audience details.
  • Enables the import of audience data
  • Facilitates the download of the audience list

Accessing master data#

  1. Select the Audience module.
  2. The Master data tab is the default screen.

Making changes and authorization#

To view the screens, the user must be a User, Super user, Administrator, or Key contact.

To download reports and create target lists, the user must be a Super user, Administrator, or a Key contact for the account.

Using the audience overview section#

This section provides information on the total audience distribution, contact profiles by channel, and list activity.

  • Total audience distribution displayed can be filtered using the drop-down list. The attributes available here can be configured in the Data attributes section under Preferences.
  • The numbers of contacts per channel are displayed at the summary level and can be expanded for more details.

At the summary level

  • View the total number of individuals in the audience database after de-duping.
  • View the number of contacts with valid contact details for Email, Mobile, and Social media channels.

The channels shown can be configured in the Data attributes section under Preferences.

At the detailed level

Click on the information icon at the summary level within each tile to access the details. Once done, click on the "x" icon on the detail screen to close the pop-up.

Details on Total audience include:

  • Overall profile completeness . This is displayed as a percentage of the total audience and denotes the number of individuals for whom all the primary attributes are available within the Audience database. The primary attributes are configured in the Classification section within Data attributes.
  • Primary attributes completeness. This displays the percentage of individuals whose primary attributes (e.g., name, email address, social handle, etc.) are available by category.
  • Recommendations. Using proprietary AI algorithms and following best practices, Resulticks provides recommendations on activities to improve profile completeness.
  • Creation of personas. Click the "Create persona?" button to access the Persona creation screen.

Details on Email Profile include:

  • Email deliverability. Displayed as a percentage of all the emails sent out to the audience database from Resulticks, this provides a view of the statuses of the emails delivered.
    There are four deliverability statuses based on information received from the email provider:
    • Delivered: When an email reaches the targeted inbox
    • Bounced: When an email has not been delivered to the recipient because the sender server could not deliver it or the recipient’s server could not successfull deliver the email to the specific contact in question.
    • Spammed: When an email has been delivered, but to the recipient’s spam box
    • Unsubscribed: When an email account has unsubscribed emails sent by the organization.
    • Deliverability. Displays deliverability in number value corresponding to the percentages.
  • Email domains. Provides the percentage split of email domains available across all the contacts in the audience database.

Details on SMS profile include:

  • SMS deliverability. Displayed as a percentage of all the SMS sent out to the audience database from Resulticks, this provides a view of the statuses of the SMS delivered.
    There are five deliverability statuses, based on information received from the SMS gateway provider:
    • Delivered: When an SMS successfully reaches the end user device
    • Undelivered: When an SMS does not reach the end user device
    • Rejected: When a rejection SMS response is received
    • Expired: When an expiry notice is received
    • DND: When an SMS is undelivered because the end user is listed on a DND (Do not disturb) register or when the user may have unsubscribed.
  • Deliverability: Displays deliverability in number value corresponding to the percentages.
  • Country: Provides the percentage split of countries based on country codes in the available mobile numbers.

Details on Social media profile include:

  • Social media profile. Displayed as a percentage of the total audience contacts, this provides a breakdown of the contact information available across the different social media channels. Multiple social media channels may be recorded for an individual.
  • Social media channels. Displays distribution in number value corresponding to the percentages.

Additional options

Add audience data by clicking on the "+" icon.

View audience import history by clicking on the "Import" icon. For more information on these two options, please refer to Add audiences.

Using the list acquisition section#

This section provides information on the impact of audience acquisition on the audience database.

  • List acquisition graph displays a summary of the contact details acquired for contacts by channel type.
  • Using the graph displays.
    • Filter the graphs by time period or audience sources, by selecting from the drop-down lists displayed.
  • Obtain detailed information by day by hovering the mouse over any circle on the graph. The detail will vary depending on the selected.
  • Input notes for any day by clicking on the small circle to obtain a pop-up where notes can be inserted.

Using the audience list section#

This section provides sample data from the audience database that includes a set of data attributes with options to manage the list displayed.

  • List data from the audience database displayed can be is used for quick reference and decision-making.
  • The sort function on the list columns can be clicked to sort on the column, and toggle between ascending or descending sorts.
  • The filter function on the list columns can be clicked to enter filter criteria.
  • The scroll function can be used to browse the records displayed in the list across pages.
  • The number of items function can be used to change the number of items shown on a page.
  • The lead score framework can be viewed by clicking on the "?" icon. Click "X" or the "Okay, got it" the lead score field has been selected for display.

Additional list options#

  • Select the fields to be displayed by clicking on the field icon.
  • Download the total list by clicking on the "Download" icon. A one-time password (OTP) will be emailed to the Key contact person for OTP authentication. Enter the OTP and click "Confirm" button to complete the download.
